Not Too Late to Take Action on March 14!

The International Day of Action for Rivers is less than three weeks away! We are anticipating a variety of exciting events scheduled to take place this March. So far, we have heard of around 20 actions in 13 different countries, and are being informed of new events every day.

The Pakistan Institute for Environment-Development Action Research (PIEDAR) and World Wide Fund (WWF) are organizing a "Drama and Art Competition in Schools" near the Sawan River in Rawalpindi. Additionaly, Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum (PFF), which has been advocating for the "Save the Indus River" movement and will continue their struggle by holding various demonstrations for restoration of the Indus River.

The Kuki Students Democratic Front (KSDF) will collaborate with the Burma Rivers Network (BRN) to organize a mass rally in India's capital city of New Dehli on March 14th.

Activists will hold a rally at the University of Costa Rica on March 14th to educate students as well as motivate them to voice their concerns and take action to protect natural resources. Additionally, a university rafting race will be held on the Pacuare River on March 28.
