Friends of the Earth Japan helped convince Japan Bank for International Cooperation to pull out of the San Roque Dam in the Philippines. Now China Export Import Bank is funding the irrigation component of the project, despite the continued lack of reparations for dam-impacted communities, and possibly in violation of the bank's own social and environmental guidelines.
